Cell Description: Carcinoma, human urinary bladder

Culture medium: Medium 199 with sodium bicarbonate, 2 mM L-glutamine and 1,0 mM sodium pyruvate, 90%; FBS, 10%

Subculture routine: 0,25% trypsin, 0,03% EDTA solution, rinse and remove trypsin. Allow the flask to sit at room temperature (or incubate at 37°C) until the cells detach. Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks. Split a subcultivation ratio of 1:6 to 1:10.

Fluid renewal: 2 to 3 times per week..

Morphology: Epithelial

Tumorigenic: yes, in BALB/c nu/nu mice

Sterility: Tests for Mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi were negative
