Cell Description: Human malignant melanoma, skin

Culture medium: McCoy’s 5a with sodium bicarbonate, with 2mM L-glutamine 1.0mM sodium pyruvate + 10% FBS

Subculture routine: Split confluent cultures seeding at 2-4 x 10⁴ cells/cm²using 0,25 trypsin or trypsin / EDTA; 5% CO₂, 37°C, cells are slow in attaching

Split ratio: 1:3 to 1:6 is recommended

Fluid renewal: 2 to 3 times weekly

Morphology: epithelial

Sterility: Tests for Mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi were negative
