Sterility: test for Mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi were negative
Morphology: epithelial, cytokeratine 8, 18, 19, vimentin
Tumorigenic: no
Propagation: Culture Medium: Mc Coy's 5a medium, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%
Subculture Routine: remove medium, rinse with 0,25% trypsin solution, remove trypsin and let the culture sit at room temperature (or at 37°C) until the cells detach (about 10 minutes). Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks. Subculture: every 4 to 6 days
Split Ratio: a ratio of 1:3 to 1:6 is recommended
Fluid Renewal: 2 to 3 times weekly
Growth Properties: monolayer
